My new homemade album 'Headlights' can be downloaded at my Bandcamp site. It will be available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon etc. in the next few months along with remastered versions of 'Satellite' and 'Still'.
There are 11 tracks on 'Headlights' which are mostly 'acoustic rock/pop' - with some country rock elements thrown in. The songs were written in the traditional way (sitting down with an acoustic guitar with a pen and paper) and recorded when finished (as opposed to the practice of recording an idea and building on it bit by bit which is what I am now quite used to).
The very excellent art work is by Becky Todd - when I first saw the 'Midnight Hare', I immediately thought of the lyric 'I'm a hare in the headlights' (as opposed to a rabbit; I liked the alliteration). That lyric became the starting point of the song 'Headlights', (the idea that "searchlights" may disappear - people may forget about you or abandon you, but someone/something will turn up sooner or later - I visualised this as a car coming around the corner in the dark, shining their headlights on you). It encapsulated a quite positive feeling I think that runs through all the songs - and so I thought I'd ask Becky if I could use her art work (fully expecting her to say no). To my surprise she said yes and I am really glad because I think it really sums up the songs and the spirit of the lyrics.

The songs were recorded between March 2019 and January 2020 with many, many writing and recording hours being put in over this time. I hope you enjoy listening to at least some of the songs - the lyrics I think are purposefully more accessible and quite hopeful. As the last song, 'Long Road Home' says; 'That's all I have to say, drive safe on your way!'.
